Industrialists, in the wake of low gas pressure, have warned of staging a sit-in outside the Sui Southern Gas Company’s (SSGC) office if the government and the gas utility fail to restore the supply to industries at normal pressure.

The pressure of gas being supplied to industries in Federal B Area has been reduced by 50 per cent, severely affecting production, it emerged on Thursday.

According to Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry president Abid Abdullah, a low gas pressure situation, where the pressure have been almost halved, has been troubling industrialists in the area for the last three weeks.

“This has also reduced our productivity by 50 per cent,” he complained.
