Paediatricians support polio drive
The Pakistan Pediatric Association (PPA) on Thursday extended its full support to the upcoming countrywide anti-polio vaccination drive. National Emergency Operations Centre (NECC) Coordinator Dr Rana Safdar chaired a meeting of paediatrics on Thursday. Medical practitioners from across the country participated in the meeting. Hailing the PPA, Dr Safdar said that the association has always played a major role in anti-polio campaigns. The PPA officials urged parents to allow their children to be vaccinated during the upcoming anti-polio drive starting from September 21. They said that the virus could only be eradicated from the country through immunisation.
