
A case was registered against a man who allegedly married a Bahrain-based Pakistani expatriate woman and looted dowry from her. According to details, Safia Rasheed, a resident of Rachna Town No 1, Satiana Road, stated in the case filed at a woman police station that Ghulam Mustafa, the son of Akbar Ali Tariq, a resident of Gulshan-e-Rehman Colony, married her daughter Alina Wasim, who lives in Bahrain. Alina flew to the country and married Ghulam. Reportedly, the accused was already married to another woman. He allegedly contracted a second marriage with Alina. The accused Ghulam also used to beat Alina and stole the dowry worth Rs5 million and other belongings after kicking her out daughter out the house. The accused had also received gift items worth Rs1 million from his in-laws under various pretexts. After registering the case, a woman police team started raids to arrest the accused.
