QUETTA:

The Private Schools Association in a joint decision have announced to restore educational activities from August 15.

Refuting the provincial government’s decision of re-opening schools from mid-September, President Private Schools Association Muhammad Nawaz Pandrani, Meer Bahadur Langove and others said, “We have decided to re-open private schools from August 15 as educational activities have already suffered in the province due to the coronavirus pandemic.”

They added that, “This long closure has caused huge educational loss but unfortunately the provincial government didn’t pay serious attention towards the future of children.”

Petition against cut in school fees dismissed

The decision was announced by Balochistan Private Schools Action Committee, All Balochistan Progressive Private Schools Association, Iqra Progressive Private Schools Association Balochistan, Franchise Progressive Private Schools Association Balochistan, and Right to All Private Schools Association during a joint news conference held on Thursday.

The Private School Association has rejected the Balochistan Awami Party led provincial government’s decision of not opening government and private schools until September. “Balochistan has 33 districts and 2,850 private schools represent 36,000 teachers and 700,000 students but yet our educational minister is more interested on the locusts issue rather than education,” private school owners said.
