The Supreme Court must take suo moto notice of power outages and the alleged corruption of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) officials, demanded Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Hyderabad leaders during a protest in the city on Saturday.
JI Hyderabad ameer Hafiz Tahir Majeed stated that load-shedding of up to 12 hours was being carried out in Hyderabad, while the situation was much worse in rural areas. He claimed that HESCO was traumatising its consumers through excessive load-shedding and exorbitant electricity bills.
