Facilitation desks set up for Blue Area investors
To facilitate the successful bidders of the Blue Area Commercial plots auction, the civic agency in the federal capital has set up a dedicated facilitation desk.
The desk has been set up in the Estate Management-II Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to smooth the progress of all matters related to the authority.
Last week, the CDA had conducted a three-day auction for 24 plots in its proposed new Blue Area commercial strip. To be established on a narrow stretch sandwiched between Jinnah Avenue and Ibn-e-Sina Road overlooking the Sector F-9 Fatima Jinnah Park, the authority had managed to sell 12 plots or just half of all the plots on offer. The authority had failed to sell some of the bigger plots which were included in the auction’s brochure, two plots measuring 10,000 square yards or more.

However, the authority did manage to raise Rs17.4 billion, the highest amount obtained during any auction in the history of the CDA.
To ensure a successful auction, the CDA had taken special measures, including the establishment of dedicated teams to facilitate investors at every step of the auction process.
Further, at the end of the auction, CDA Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed had promised investors that the authority will soon set up a one-window facilitation desk to help investors start construction activity in the strip at the earliest.
