Three bodies fished out of river

Three minors drowned

MULTAN:

Rescue 1122 divers on Monday fished out bodies of three teenagers who had drowned in Chenab river while picnicking near Head Muhammadwala. Rescue 1122 District Emergency Officer (DEO) Dr Natiq Hayat said that the three bodies were fished out from the river. The victims were identified as Saad Qureshi, 14, Yahya, 15, and Sammad, 10. He added that two of the victims were brothers while the third was their cousin. “The search operation was halted due to darkness on Sunday evening. It was resumed on Monday, which resulted in retrieval of all three bodies,” Dr Hayat further said.
