RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ali Akbar on Sunday said that wrong parking of vehicles on various thoroughfares and commercial areas of the city creates hurdles in the smooth flow of traffic there. The CTO asked wardens and field officers to take strict action against those motorists who incorrectly park their vehicles. He said all such vehicles and motorbikes which are parked incorrectly will be impounded in the police stations of the respective jurisdictions. The CTO said that all efforts were being made to regulate traffic in the city, and urged citizens to cooperate with the traffic police so that traffic problems can be resolved. For this purpose, he said that a greater number of traffic wardens have been deployed on busy roads. Moreover, lifters will also be available to lift all such vehicles and motorcycles parked in a wrong way, he added.
