Teenager lured on social media, raped

15-year-old had befriended the suspect on a social media website and their friendship grew with the time

RAWALPINDI: The friendship over social media caused the rape of a teenaged girl in the precincts of the Civil Lines police station on Thursday.

A complainant filed a report at the Civil Line police station stating that her 15-year-old sister had befriended the suspect on a social media website and their friendship grew with the time. Later, the suspect made promises of marriage to the victim and asked her to meet him.

When they both finally met on the selected spot, the suspect took her to his friend’s home on a motorbike. Once inside, the suspect overpowered the girl and raped her.
