Vegetable vendor had asked suspect to move his car away from pushcart

ABBOTTABAD: A man was killed and his two brothers were injured over a petty issue on Friday afternoon at a busy commercial area of Kehal locality in Abbottabad.

According to police, the suspect, Sher Dill Sheri, parked his car in front of a vegetable vendor’s push cart.

The vegetable vendor, Qadeer Siddique asked Sheri to move his car which was blocking customers. However, Sheri got furious. He went away, but came back with Shezad Chiriya and two others and they opened fire on Siddique, killing him on the spot and injuring his two brothers, Waheed and Zaheer.

SHO Cantt Tahir Saleem, Additional SHO Khursheed Khan alongwith ASI Ayaz Khan and police rushed to the spot and arrested the main suspect Sheri and his companion Shezad. Police were conducting raids for the other two. FIR was registered by the police lodged by the victim’s Siddique’s father.

Police have also recovered the weapon used in the incident and have started the search operation with investigation while injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital where condition of one injured was stated to be critic. People have appreciated the efforts of the police for early arrest of the main accused.
