LAHORE: Police claimed to have arrested three suspects over separate honour killing incidents on Friday. In the first incident, the arrested suspect has been identified as Waseem Butt alias Guddu, a resident of Rawalpindi.

Reportedly, he had contracted a marriage with Rabia, a resident of Karachi, 15 years ago and had three children from the marriage. The suspect had certain suspicions against his wife.

On the day of the incident, the accused took the victim to Data Darbar on the pretext of paying homage to the saint and later on shot her dead at an abandoned place.

Separately, CIA Kotwali police arrested two suspects on Friday for honour killing of a fellow lady health worker named Zufashan. The arrested suspects were identified as Haseeb Khan and Shahbaz Gujjar. The victim was shot dead at her home by Haseeb over certain suspicions.
