ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Balochistan MPA Mubin Khan in a petition seeking his disqualification for not declaring his assets in his nomination papers. Khan was elected MPA from PB-28 Quetta in 2018 general elections.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial and comprising Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed heard the case filed by Tahir Mahmood.

During the course of proceedings, petitioner’s counsel Raja Aamir Abbas said Khan had not disclosed complete details of his assets in his nomination papers.

The counsel said that according to bank record, Khan owned millions of rupees and that the election tribunal had not examined the facts properly.  He pleaded the court to suspend the election tribunal’s decision.
