68 illegal petrol pumps sealed in Quetta
.

District authorities in Quetta have finally swung into action against illegal Iranian petrol sellers, sealing 68 mini-petrol pumps and arresting 52 individuals. However, the move has drawn sharp criticism from public circles, who have demanded that officials responsible for the two-week delay in acting on complaints also be held accountable.
According to an official statement issued by the district administration, the large-scale operation was carried out on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Meherullah Badini. The crackdown was led by Assistant Commissioner City Muhammad Aamir Hamza, Special Magistrate Ijaz Hussain Khosa, Assistant Commissioner Sariab Musawar Ahmed Achakzai, Assistant Commissioner Sadr Muhammad Yousuf Hashmi, Assistant Commissioner Kuchlak Captain (retired) Kabir Mazari, and Special Magistrate Haseeb Sardar. During the operation, 68 mini-petrol pumps were sealed, and 52 individuals were arrested and subsequently transferred to jail.
The district administration has vowed to continue indiscriminate action against those selling fuel at exorbitant rates and engaging in illegal business.
