The maintenance and services charges would be at par with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) rates, sources in FGEHA said.
They said that the authority has now decided to charge residents of sectors G-13 and G-14 for basic amenities including water supply while the rates would be equivalent to what CDA receives under maintenance and service charges. Earlier, the matter of receiving charges was hanging in the balance for several years as the CDA was not providing services to both sectors and the dwellers had refused to pay the development authority.
Sources said that the FGEHF was providing municipal services to the related sectors and thus, it was justified for it to receive those charges from the residents.
It added that the decision for receiving charges equivalent to the CDA rates has been reached after consultation with the residents. Sources informed that in this regard, the authority has completed documentation and planning to a large extent.
