Balochistan govt revamping roads network, says CM Kamal

Jam Kamal Khan says govt has initiated various development projects for Mastung

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal has said his government is revamping communication network across the province by constructing and upgrading highways and has allocated funds for development of 2,500 km of roads.

“The Balochistan government has been working to make sure good governance in the province and all departments have been directed to make preparations for the next Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP),” he said on Friday.

He was talking to a delegation of the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leaders from Pishin district. The delegation was led by Asfnadyar Kakar.

The delegation thanked the CM for timely action in Pashin’s snow affected areas and also lauded Kamal government for initiating revolutionary development projects in the district.

The CM announced funds for completion of Aghbarg-Panjpai highway and said the next years’ PSDP will include development projects for all districts. The delegation also invited the chief minister to visit Pishin. The CM accepted the invitation and pledged to visit Pishin and other districts of Balochistan.

In another meeting with the BAP’s Jamal Khan Raisani, Jam Kamal pledged implementation of development schemes in Mastung.

“The provincial government has commenced various development projects for people of Mastung,” Kamal said.
