The TeK has also announced to observe the Republic Day as 'Black Day' across the world to condemn the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government's illegal act of abrogating Occupied Jammu and Kashmir autonomous status on August 5 last year.
Ranjeet Singh, WSP spokesperson, along with Sikh leaders announced the decision on Monday, in a joint news conference with TeK President Raja Fahim Kayani in Birmingham, UK.
“We are with the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) who have been incarcerated by the government of India since August 5, 2019. In this situation we will join the TeK UK’s anti-India protest in front of the IHC in London,” the WSP spokesperson said.
TeK announces protest outside Indian High Commission in London on Jan 26
Speaking on the press briefing, the TeK president said that India has no moral right to observe January 26 as Republic Day when it has turned the valley of 8 million people into jail.
“Since August 5 thousands of Kashmiris, particularly youth, have been arrested. Political leaders both pro-freedom and pro-India have been put behind the bars and internet is closed for the last five months . In such a situation we want to show the real face of so-called democratic India to the world on its Republic Day," Kayani added.
The Kashmiri rights activist further said that British-Kashmiris across the UK will gather outside the Indian High Commission, London to expose the real face of so-called world's biggest democracy to the world community.
"The anti-India protest will help to remind the world leaders to play their role for the permanent settlement of IOJ&K to bring peace and security in South Asia," he said.
