QUETTA: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Balochistan Chief Manager Amjad Ali Imran has said that the business community remains an important part of country’s economy and that the central bank has introduced multiple financing programmes for them.

He shared these views the other day in a meeting with Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) members and discussed the online system of taxation and duties.

QCCI Senior Vice President of Badaruddin Kakar informed the SBP chief manager of the problems faced by the business community in acquiring loans and maintained that the banking sector had been focusing on increasing their number of branches instead of providing speedy financing facility to the traders.

“The chamber has been acting as a bridge between the banks and the business community. We want the State Bank to empower banking sector in Balochistan,” Kakar said.
