‘Golden beach’ to be made more attractive, says chief secretary

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Secretary Fazeel Asghar has said that the provincial government is taking effective steps to promote tourism.

“The federal government will double the national highway from Karachi to Chaman and soon work will start on the project," Asghar said, while speaking to journalists during his visit to Hanglaj Naani Temple and Kund Malir.

The secretary noted that Kund Malir was a beautiful golden beach and that practical steps would be taken for further improving the coastline.

He observed that tourists from across the country were visiting the resort and measures for better security and provision of basic facilities including a building would be ensured.

"Kund Malir is a beautiful picnic point. Such destinations have special attention of tourists," he remarked.

The Balochistan chief secretary pointed out that the Hanglaj Nani Temple was the biggest place of worship for Hindus and all basic necessities were being provided there.

Meanwhile, former provincial minister Balochistan Prince Ahmed Ali Baloch accompanied the chief secretary along with Lasbela Deputy Commissioner Shabbir Ahmed Mengal.

The chief secretary was given a detailed briefing on the development projects on his arrival at Hanglaj Nani Temple.

Service and General Administration Department (SNGD) secretary, Tourism Secretary Zafar Buledi along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Nazir Baloch, Assistant Commissioner Bela Dr Jamil Ahmed Baloch, Deputy Tehsildar Lyari Aftab Mondra, former director general  health Naseer Baloch, Hingol National Park sub-divisional officer Abdul Rahman, Hingol check-post Investigation Officer Abdul Jalil Soomro and others were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, Balochistan CM Jam Kamal also said the provincial government has been working on an effective policy for the development of the province’s 700km long coastline to yield major energy and tourism benefits.
