QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) Chief Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail has said government officers must say no to illegal decisions of their superiors as 50% burden on courts in Balochistan is due to flawed and wrong decision of government departments.

“Government officers are responsible to help government in taking the right decision. The court would protect the officers being victimised over protecting the law,” CJ Mandokhail said on Tuesday while addressing 28th batch of Mid-Career Management Course in Quetta.

He said legal decision in government departments would ease burden on courts.

“Government officers appear in courts instead of ministers following petitions filed in courts against government departments. Government officers should protect the law while taking any decision which would make sure supremacy of law in the society,” he added.

Laying stress on training of government officers, the CJ said no one would approach courts, if government officers performed their duties with honesty and dignity.
