Azerbaijan for UN route on Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: As Islamabad observed August 15 — India’s Independence Day — as a ‘black day’, Azerbaijan reiterated its principled stance on Kashmir that the long-standing dispute over the Himalayan territory should be settled as per the United Nations (UN) resolutions on the matter. In a message on social media, the Azerbaijan embassy made its position on the Jammu and Kashmir issue clear. It emphasised that it believes the issue should be resolved according to UN Security Council resolutions. Pakistan also supports Azerbaijan on Nagorno-Karabakh issue and believes that Armenia has illegally occupied Azerbaijan territory.
