ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) heard objections on elections in South Waziristan PK-114 constituency of newly-merged districts. A three-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza presided the case. Counsel for an independent candidate pleaded the commission to order recounting in three polling stations of the constituency. He said that turnout in those polling stations was around 95% while it was just 14% in others. The ECP dismissed the application and directed the applicant to approach election tribunal as more investigation was required in the case.
