
The CJP, in a meeting on Police Reforms Implementation, had directed all the IGPs to coordinate with the federal and provincial judicial academies for the joint training of police officers with prosecutors and judges.
Accordingly, Islamabad IGP Aamir Zulfiqar Khan constituted a team of officers headed by AIG Establishment Kamran Adil to enter into Focus Group Discussions (FDG) with the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA).
The FDG between the Islamabad Police and FJA resulted in a week-long training programme which commenced on June 24.
Ten police officers of ICT participated in the training. The training ended on June 29 where Operations-DIG Waqaruddin Syed distributed certificates to the participants.
FJA Director General Hayat Ali Shah, Academics Director Fakharuzaman and District and Sessions Judge Sohail Nasir along with all SSPs, Zonal SSPs and SDPOs participated in the ceremony.
Syed said that Islamabad Police looks forward to further joint trainings and that they are trying to improve the investigation skills of its officers.
