Town budget: Liaquatabad Town allocates Rs80m for buildings and roads

Some Rs80.5 million have been allocated for buildings and roads, while Rs30.7 million has been allocated for parks and a sports ground in Liaquatabad Town. Khalid Riaz Siddiqui, administrator of the town, presented a budget of Rs800 million for 2011-2012 with a surplus of Rs0.9 million.


“We have allocated Rs270.79 million for development, Rs520.28 million for the non-development sector, Rs10.88 million for repairs and installation of streetlights and Rs70 million for the electricity bill,” he said. “The budget also includes Rs5 million for sewerage and water sanitation and Rs40.2 million for contingency development projects.”

According to Siddiqui, the town is expecting a grant of Rs10 million from the provincial government.
