YouTube star KSI is reportedly set to fight former Premier League footballer Wayne Bridge in a boxing match scheduled for March 29.
The official announcement, according to the DailyMail, is pending the signing of contractual agreements.
The 31-year-old KSI, known for his success in influencer boxing, would participate in his seventh professional bout if the fight takes place. His professional record currently stands at four wins, one loss, and one draw, with his most recent loss occurring against Tommy Fury in 2023. KSI's boxing journey began with amateur fights, including victories over Joe Weller and a draw with Logan Paul in 2018. These early contests sparked the rise of influencer boxing, which has since gained widespread popularity.
Bridge, 44, is a former footballer who made over 350 appearances in a 16-year professional career, most notably at Chelsea, where he won the Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup. His upcoming match with KSI will be only his second in boxing, having previously competed in a charity match against reality TV star Spencer Matthews for Sports Relief in 2018.
The news of the fight comes amid ongoing speculation about KSI’s potential future matchup with Jake Paul. Fans have long anticipated a clash between the two YouTube stars, though this fight with Bridge seems to delay that possibility. There have also been rumors that KSI could replace Logan Paul in a potential 2025 bout against MMA star Conor McGregor, though KSI’s involvement remains uncertain.
The match with Bridge will mark another chapter in KSI's boxing career, which has captivated audiences worldwide and drawn attention from both sports and entertainment sectors.
