'Edhi Baba' pays tribute to the legacy of Abdul Sattar Edhi

There is a children's book out now on the Pakistani humanitarian, Abdul Sattar Edhi

KARACHI: When we talk about real-life Pakistani superheros, the most notable name that comes to mind is that of late philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi. He devoted his life to social welfare and eventually became recognised globally for all his hard work. And now, he will be loved by children as the animated character Edhi Baba.

In an ongoing struggle to highlight our national heroes, illustrator-turned-author, Maria Riaz Tauseef created Edhi Baba. The book focuses on his life and introduces young minds to emotions such as compassion, empathy and kindness - rules that Edhi lived by.

The man made a positive impact in the Pakistani society, fighting against all odds and what better way of sharing that with the future generations than this piece of art, paying a tribute to the legacy of Edhi?

The book is being billed as a children's story but the values that it highlights could come in handy to everyone.
