Tourism can strengthen economy, says Punjab trade minister

Mian Aslam says country’s problems can be solved by promoting economic activities

LAHORE: The national economy can be strengthened by promoting the tourism sector which has vast investment opportunities, said Punjab Industries and Trade Minister Mian Aslam on Wednesday.

Chairing a meeting at Civil Secretariat, the minister said that establishing a state-of-the-art theme park in Lahore is the need of the hour. The project will bring investments worth billions and will also provide many new job opportunities. He maintained that the Punjab government is taking effective steps for promoting economic and business activities in the country.

The country’s problems can be solved by promoting economic activities. He added that economic and trade activities can be boosted by constructing a theme park in the provincial capital. He said that the project is of vital importance.
