ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq on Monday adjourned the hearing of petition challenging eligibility of three Members of National Assembly (MNAs) from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday.

The eligibilities of MNAs Maleeka Bokhari, Tashfeen Safdar and Kanwal Shahzeb have been questioned on grounds of allegedly hiding information in their nomination papers.

On Monday they sought more time to submit their reply. On which, Justice Farooq adjourned the hearing till May 30. Bokhari and Safdar are facing petitions challenging their eligibility under Article 62, 63 of the Constitution. Justice Farooq heard the petitions challenging the eligibility of MNAs Malaika Bokhari, Tashfeen Safdar and Kanwal Shahzeb on the grounds of allegedly hiding information in their nomination papers.

The petitioner had alleged the three MNAs for hiding information pertaining to dual nationality and others in nomination papers submitted to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

He prayed the court to declare the MNAs as disqualified. However, the bench adjourned the case till two weeks after the two MNAs submitted their answers in the above case.
