HYDERABAD: As Sakrand Laboratory of anti-snake venom (ASV) and anti-rabies vaccine (ARV), Nawabshah, remains non-functional, Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday directed the project director to submit details of funds received and utilised so far. The petitioner, Muhammad Yaqoob Mangrio, pleaded that the lab was established over a decade ago but it has yet to produce the vaccines which are currently being provided by National Institute of Health Sciences, Islamabad. He maintained that the ASVs and ARVs are not available in many hospitals because the laboratory has failed to start production. The SHC adjourned the hearing till April 24.
