Flood-ravaged people assured all assistance

Minister says all resources to be utilized in rescue effort

Provincial Finance Minister Mir Muhammad Arif Muhammad Hassani has said that all resources would be utilized to provide relief and rescue services to the flood-affected people of Balochistan.

Addressing a meeting at his camp office in Dalbandin, he regretted the losses caused by flash floods in certain areas of the province while expressing his satisfaction over the relief activities conducted by the local authorities, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority and the Pakistan Army.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Chagai Fateh Khan Khajjak, Superintendent of Police Muhammad Hashim, Assistant Commissioner Dalbandin Habib Nasir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Najeebullah Qambrani and line department officials. It reviewed the upcoming and ongoing development schemes, the current weather situation and expected challenges.

Finance Minister Mir Muhammad Arif Muhammad Hassani was briefed on the performance, needs and issues of certain departments by their district heads.

Emphasizing job performance, Hassani directed the participants to ensure their presence on the job at any cost and to take necessary action against subordinates found to be absent. He also stressed that public money should be spent on the people’s welfare and every penny should be spent for that purpose.
