Health minister stresses the need for proper nutrition during pregnancy for healthy children.

QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Health Naseebullah Marri has said proper nutrition of a mother during pregnancy is necessary to ensure good health of the baby.
At the inauguration ceremony of Nutrition of Mother and Child Screening Camp in Kohlu on Saturday, the minister said through timely screening and cure, the nutrition-related issues of a mother and her child could be averted.
Marri was accompanied by Kohlu Deputy Commissioner Munawar Hussain, District Health Officer (DHO) Sher Zaman Marri, and Dr Kalid Marri.

He stressed the need for proper nutrition during pregnancy for healthy children.
Marri announced the establishment of district nutrition camps in all districts of the province.
“In these camps, the partners of Balochistan Nutrition Camp, including Peoples Primary Health Initiative, will participate,” he added.
Marri lauded the services of District Nutrition Officer Sami Zarkoon, assuring him that funds for the social mobilisation of people would be released at the earliest.
