ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Ahmed Hassan Moughal has called on the government to consider imposition of fixed tax on small businesses, which would help enhance the country’s tax net. Speaking at a consultative session with the business community, Moughal highlighted that the current tax system was very complicated and the government should develop a simplified tax return form for small businesses. He was of the view that they could not afford to hire the services of tax consultants. Government should categorise taxpayers and offer them incentives in accordance with the taxes paid, he emphasised.
