QUETTA: At least five men were killed in three separate incidents in various districts of Balochistan.

The first incident was a targeted-killing one. Unidentified armed men on a motorbike shot dead a policeman on Toghi Road in Quetta.

According to police, the armed men opened indiscriminate fire on Mazhar Hussain and fled. As a result, Hussain died on the spot.
“The armed men were lying in wait for Hussain to leave his house in the morning. As soon as he did, they killed him,” said police, adding that investigations were under way.

Separately, two unidentified bodies with gunshot wounds were recovered from Harnai district.

Six, including women, kids, killed in accident

Levies force said the two bodies with gunshot wounds to the chest were found in the mountainous area of Harnai. The bodies have been kept in a morgue for identification.

In another incident, a father and his son lost their lives in a road accident in Kalat.

Levies force said a speeding trawler collided with a passenger coach in the Sorab area of Kalat. Haji Tor and his son Najeeb died in the accident.

Rescue workers rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to district headquarter hospital for medico-legal formalities. Later, the bodies were handed over to the heirs for burial.
