Rahim Yar Khan man poisons wife to death

Flees the scene with his accomplice brothers

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A man poisoned his wife to death over a domestic issue in Rahim Yar Khan on Wednesday.

A police official told Express News that the woman, identified as 25-year-old Mukhtara Bibi, tied the knot with Wazeer Ahmad a couple of years ago.



He added the couple’s relationship had soured and arguments were a matter of daily routine. On the day of the incident, Murtaza and his brothers Nazeer, Shabbir and Hameed allegedly poisoned the woman to death after a heated argument. After the incident, the accused fled the scene.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s brother and are looking for the accused.



Earlier, a woman was poisoned to death by her husband in the area of Civil Lines police station in Faisalabad. A police official said that 28-year-old Naveeda Bibi married Amjad a few years ago, but the couple did not have children. In a fit of rage, Amjad reportedly gave poison to Naveeda, killing her.
