KARACHI: A medical board comprising of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) doctors on Friday said Captain (retd) Safdar will remain in the hospital due to health concerns, reported Express News.

Doctors performed an electrocardiogram (ECG) on the former premier's son-in-law to determine the condition of his cardiac stent and a liver test.

Captain Safdar shifted to PIMS from Adiala Jail over 'health concerns'

Safdar is reportedly suffering from diabetes and a liver ailment due to which he is unable to eat.

Doctors further said that Safdar’s deteriorating health condition in jail affected his electrolytes. He has been admitted to the VVIP section of the cardiac centre.

Safdar was sentenced in the Avenfield reference case to two years in prison by an accountability court hearing corruption references against members of the Sharif family.

Dr.M.M.Khan | 5 years ago | Reply The Medical bulletins become interesting reading every day. May i ask how does an ECG disclose the state of a stent? Next do we need a Medical Board for such a patient?. Do other patients in the Adalia prison avail of such facilities. This convicted person is no more a VVIP.
