Workshop on 'Self-Assessment Report writing of an Academic Programme' conducted during conference

PESHAWAR: The quality enhancement and assurance system in higher education in Pakistan was highlighted at the international conference on “Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Foreign Language Education” in Turkey this week.

The structure and its working were explained by Khyber Medical University (KMU) Quality Enhancement Cell Director Syeda Asiyah Bukhari while delivering a talk on the subject at the at Bandirma Onyedi Eylul University.

Focus education: Higher education minister makes expansionist claims


Scholars from around from the US, Britain, Ireland, Bahrain, Poland and Northern Cyprus along with delegates from 73 universities of Turkey attended the conference to examine the subject by bringing together expert staff from various educational institutions within the scope of the importance given to quality and accreditation at the level of programme, especially foreign language education at the level of YÖK recently.

During the conference Bukhari spoke about quality assurance systems in Pakistan, detailing the well-structured and dynamic system of quality assurance in Pakistan with a success rate to create a quality culture at higher education level.

She also conducted a workshop in the conference on “Self-Assessment Report writing of an Academic Programme”.
