Rain, thunder expected in Karachi on February 17: PMD
Dadu, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Larkana, Jacobabad, Khairpur, to also experience rain with thunder

Karachi may experience rain accompanied by thunder and lightning on February 17, as a new western wave is set to reach western parts of the country on February 16, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said on Sunday.
According to the Met Office, in the Karachi division, including Dadu, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Khairpur, rain with thunder and lightning is expected during the evening and night of February 16 and 17.

Alongside the rain, winds stronger than usual, carrying dust, may also occur. Visibility in the city could also be reduced due to fog.
Most other areas of the Sindh province are expected to have dry weather with cool nights.
This week, stronger-than-usual winds swept across Karachi. According to the Met Office, winds were blowing from the north-eastern part of Balochistan at 30 kilometres per hour.
According to state-broadcaster Radio Pakistan, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.
The temperature of major cities was recorded this morning.
Islamabad 8°C, Lahore 16°C, Karachi 18°C, Peshawar 10°C, Quetta 5°C, Gilgit 4°C, Murree 3°C and Muzaffarabad 7°C.
