Healthy activities promote harmony in society: Aseefa
A cultural programme featuring national songs and performances by children was also held

First Lady and MNA Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, accompanied by Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, inaugurated the Annual Flower Show: Arts, Science and Cultural Exhibition 2026 at HM Khoja Garden in Shaheed Benazirabad district on Saturday.
Cadets of Bakhtawar Cadet College presented a guard of honour to the chief guest, while children welcomed her with colourful tableaux. The First Lady and the provincial minister visited various stalls set up by cadets and participating institutions, including a stall dedicated to Shah Jo Risalo. She also took keen interest in the seasonal, ornamental and rare flower varieties on display.
Stalls and tableaux presented by public and private educational institutions drew significant attention from visitors. Appreciating the organisers, Bibi Aseefa said such healthy activities enhanced environmental beauty and promoted harmony and happiness in society. She described flowers as a symbol of love, peace and freshness, adding that providing healthy recreational opportunities reflected the vision of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
