Four arrested for blackmailing men after marriage
Accused made obscene photos and videos after drugging victims
GUJRANWALA:
The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Gujranwala Region arrested four members of a global gang involved in looting citizens after marriage.
During raids in Sialkot on Saturday, two women named Misbah Rani and Asma, nikkah lawyer Hafiz Khalid and marriage witness Zulfiqar Ali were arrested, ACE Gujranwala Region Director Fareed Ahmed revealed to Express News.
Cybercrime: Threats through electronic communication criminalised
Ahmed said action was taken against the group after a local citizen from Gujrat filed a complaint, while several other members of the group were arrested some days ago in Islamabad. During initial Interrogation, the women confessed to looting four people, each, after marriage.
Recovery of child demanded
The women used social media to trap internationally-based Pakistanis and rich men from other countries. After duping them into getting married, the women, aided by their accomplices, would drug the men.
After rendering their victims unconscious, the group would take explicit and incriminating photos and videos which would late be used to blackmail the men. In the case of non-compliance, the group would threaten to upload the photos and videos on social media.
Last week, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a man for harassing and blackmailing a woman in Lahore.
FIA special team to deal with child pornography cases
