ISLAMABAD: Four gunmen robbed a house in Islamabad’s Media Town neighbourhood in Lohi Bher police jurisdiction. Junaid Hafeez, a cameraman at a private TV channel, says four armed men broke into his house on Thursday night and stole valuables worth over Rs1 million. “It was around 10:50pm on May 10 when the four young men carrying guns climbed the walls and entered my house. They took the family hostage at gunpoint and took away all the valuables in the house,” Hafeez said. 16 tolas of gold jewellery, Rs0.188 million in cash, four mobile phones and several other valuables were stolen by the suspects. Hafeez said there have been several thefts and burglaries in the neighbourhood in recent weeks. Lohi Bher police have registered a case against unidentified persons but have made no arrests yet.
