QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Balochistan Chapter Information Secretary Babar Yousafzai has termed the disqualification of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif for life a positive step.

“Disqualification of Sharif for life is our mission’s success,” said the information secretary in a statement issued by the PTI provincial secretariat on Saturday.

He said, “We had already said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Sharif have caused irreparable losses to Pakistan.”

He said that PTI would continue to raise its voice against corruption and the corrupt.

“Very soon we will provide the people of Balochistan proof of corruption,” he said, adding that the previous governments looted the province like no other due to which “Balochistan is a victim of backwardness and the sense of deprivation is prevalent among the people of the province”.

The information secretary requested the National Accountability Bureau to take action against such elements as well as the former governments in order for accountability to flourish in the province.

He said, “The PTI is the last ray of hope for the people.”
