OBL operation: Helicopters landed in Kala Dhaka before proceeding to Abbottabad

The helicopters had landed in a wheat field in the area and had stayed there for 40 minutes.

PESHAWAR: Helicopters used in the Osama bin Laden operation had first landed in the Kala Dhaka area near Mansehra before proceeding for the raid, Express 24/7 reported on Saturday.

According to local sources, the helicopters had landed in a wheat fieldin the area and had stayed there for 40 minutes before proceeding to Abbottabad. The landlord of the wheat fields also confirmed the landing of the helicopters.

Other locals said that the helicopters were seen hovering above the ground before moving towards the compound.

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was shot dead in a night-time helicopter raid by US covert forces in Abbottabad.

Mirza | 13 years ago | Reply The more time goes, it would become clear that the helicopters were in Pakistan for hours and not minutes. Even ordinary people with cell phones and Internet were communicating with the world about the presence and activities of helicopters, except the security forces. The fact is: Pakistani forces were told that "we Americans" are active and nobody should come in our way. Pakistanis were told to make themselves scarce and let US do the unknown job. If the US mission were not this secret, OBL would have been moved to another place in minutes.
