RAWALPINDI: A Seminar entitled “Women of Wisdom” was organized by Fatima Jinnah Women University, in collaboration with the Pakistan Collation Education (PCE) Friday.
Chairperson of National Commission on Status of Woman and the Chief Guest on the occasion, Anees haroon emphasized education saying the roles of women are changing gradually with the demands of an evolving society.
She said the basic purpose of education is to create conducive minds and it is linked with socio-political development of a country.
Guest Speaker, Ms. Zehra Arshad, National Coordinator, PCE briefed the audience about the Global Action Week (PCE) and its significance in the current scenario of Pakistan.
Referring to the low literacy rate she said PCE is trying to mobilize as many stakeholders as it can to improve the status of women for education.
