Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq has said that courts cannot dispense justice till the chief justice has Holy Quran in his hands.

“In the current courts, influential win and the weak lose,” said the senator while addressing the media on his arrival in Hub on Sunday.

Corruption has turned province into desert: JI

The JI chief said, “The people of Balochistan want practical steps to be taken for their welfare and just distribution of resources. Undemocratic forces reigned supreme as the people tasked with looking after the province always committed corruption, depriving the people of their right.”

He said, “Balochistan tops the lists of corruption and backwardness. People should allow Jamaat-e-Islami to serve them by voting for it.”

“There is political crisis in the country as politicians and institutions are in front of each other. Poor of all the four provinces are destined for destruction as the current set-up is not responsible for the poor. Development and prosperity is the motto of JI,” he said.

On horse-trading in Senate election, Haq said that he had asked the chief justice to call all the elected senators and ask them under oath whether they had used money in the election. “If they are reluctant to take the oath then it will mean that they have been elected as senators through the power of money and instead of serving the people they will opt to line their pockets,” he added.

“By securing the chairmanship of the Senate, the destiny of the people of Balochistan cannot change. A prime minister had been elected from Balochistan, but still … no difference,” he added.

The JI chief said, “People of Balochistan want jobs and justice. They have tested everyone and each and every one of them gave nothing in return except pain. Now give a chance to JI so that it can put an end to the sense of deprivation prevailing in the province.”

PML-N a threat to existence of Pakistan: Sirajul Haq

He said that despite the fact that Balochistan was rich in natural resources, its people were deprived of clean water.

“In order to run the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Islamic principles and strengthen the federation, we need a sincere leadership. Our financial system is based on cruelty and injustice,” he added.

He said, “Pakistan is created in the name of Islam but practically Islam cannot be seen anywhere. Justice is not being provided according to Islamic teachings. Quran and Hadith books cannot be seen in the hands of the chief justice. Under the current judicial system, influential people want verdicts in their favour.”

“There is a sense of deprivation and frustration in the province, the financial system is unequal, and basic facilities like schools, hospitals as well as roads are far from reality for which the representatives of the people are responsible,” he added.

JI chief wants Baloch given jobs on priority

He announced to start an uprising against the current financial system as the “financial system of the country is unequal and unjust due to which the poor are facing economic murder”.

“We will change the current unjust system and form a government based on Islamic principles,” he said. “There is a need for the government to provide equal rights to the deprived people and the departments.”

“We want to eliminate VIP culture from the country. All policies of the country are devised on the instructions of international leaders. The economic, education and health systems are based on stratum in the country," he said. “We believe in democracy. In JI, we don’t fight over posts. The JI is the only party which believes in collective interest.”
