In the letter, a copy of which is available with The Express Tribune, Advocate Faisal Siddiqi of the MCAS&W addressed the chief secretary Rizwan Memon.
Do you want to replace AD Khawaja because of his resistance to political pressure, CJP asks Sindh govt
The lawyer maintained that any violation of the top court's order which upheld the SHC judgment may lead to contempt proceedings.
A three-member SC bench, headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, had allowed AD Khawaja to continue ordering transfers and postings of police officials. It observed that even the federal government couldn't remove Sindh IG till the final decision of the court.
The chief justice appreciated the SHC’s order, wherein it permitted Khawaja to continue at his post.
