Kidnapping: Teachers seek govt help for professor

The kidnappers have demanded Rs10 million for the release of professor.

HYDERABAD: University teachers have asked the government to help free a professor who was kidnapped for ransom on May 7 from Pannu Aqil.

The kidnappers have demanded Rs10 million for the release of Nusrat Hussain Abbasi, 40, who works for an affiliated college of Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam.

All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association’s Naimatullah Laghari, while addressing a press conference, warned the government of a strike in all the universities of Sindh if it did not take action for the professor’s release.

Abbasi was kidnapped while travelling from Sukkur to Pannu Aqil in the jurisdiction of Sanghi police station.
