Efforts afoot for provision of quality education to all

Awareness seminar and rally will be held on March 26 to promote enrolment in primary, secondary schools

QUETTA: Gwadar Deputy Commissioner Dawood Khan Khilji has said that the district administration is utilising all its resources for provision of equal quality education at all educational institutions in Gwadar.

He expressed these views while addressing the District Education Group meeting on Thursday.



District Education Officer Abdul Wahid Majid, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Anas Tariq, Deputy Education Officer Pasni Ikhlaq Ahmad and Female District Education Officer Shehnaz Baloch were in attendance.

District education officers briefed the deputy commissioner and other members about the ongoing school enrolment campaign, the progress made under this campaign up till now and difficulties being faced by teachers and school administration in Gwadar.

DC Khilji said that for better future of the children, teachers, parents and educational institutions, the administration should realise its responsibility towards children’s educational rearing, which would bring social stability among the Baloch society, essential for advancement of the district.



The Gwadar DC said that provision of equal quality education should be the first priority and no negligence would be tolerated regarding this matter as “the only way towards development and prosperity is through endowment of standard education at grass-roots level”.

He urged officers of the education department to actively participate in the enrolment campaign ‘Every Child Will Study, Balochistan Will Progress’ and speed up the campaign to achieve the goal of bringing every child in the district to school.

The members were informed that on March 26, in respect to the enrolment campaign, district-level education awareness seminar and rally would be held to promote enrolment in primary and secondary schools.

Khilji urged the district education administration to provide school/course books to the underprivileged children in the beginning of the new educational year and take strict notice of teachers’ regular attendance in all primary and secondary government schools.
