LPG price raised by Rs10 per kg

Domestic market follows international trend.

Prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have increased by Rs10 per kg in the domestic market in the wake of a rise of $95 per ton in the international market, dealers say.


LPG Distributors Association Chairman Irfan Khokar said that the price of domestic cylinder had been increased by Rs114 while the price of commercial cylinder had been increased by Rs439.

He said that in Lahore, Gujranwala and Sargodha the LPG price had risen to Rs115 per kg compared to Rs105 earlier. This has pushed up the price of domestic cylinder in these areas to Rs1,330 from Rs1,210.

He said that in Peshawar, Multan and Sialkot the LPG price has increased from Rs110 to Rs120 per kg, taking the price of domestic cylinder from Rs1,270 to Rs1,390. In Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Bahawalpur and Rahimyar Khan the price has gone up by Rs10 to Rs125 per kg and the domestic cylinder price has reached Rs1,450 from Rs1,330.

In Murree, the LPG price has increased from Rs125 to Rs135 per kg, taking the domestic cylinder price to Rs1,570 from Rs1,450. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Fata, the price has risen from Rs135 to Rs145 per kg and the domestic cylinder price has reached Rs1,690.
