During the hearing of the case on Saturday, the magistrate and the jail superintendent recorded their statements on the plea of Special Public Prosecutor Sajid Mehboob Sheikh.
The magistrate stated that he had received a letter from security agencies about Uzair’s involvement in sharing sensitive information with other countries and the agencies wanted to keep him in their custody.

“On the magistrate’s orders, Uzair was handed over to the security authorities,” said the jail superintendent. In his application, the prosecutor maintained that the transfer took place after a legal procedure. Several offenders, including MNA Shah Jahan Baloch and Yousuf Baloch, appeared before the court. The court adjourned the hearing till January 22 after recording the statements.
