Man convicted of murder and rape of 13-year-old gets life

Additional Session Judge Khizar Hayat Sahu sentenced a man to life for murdering and sodomising a young boy. Ghulam Husian, who was found guilty of killing a teenager Zubair, 13, after having raped the boy three months ago.

According to the prosecution, convict Hussain along with three of his accomplices Irfan, Mujahid Husain and Imran sodomized a teenager Zubair, 13, in Chak No133-GB of the Dijkot Police Station precincts. The accused later killed the victim and also hid the dead body behind some bushes to conceal the evidence. The court found the accused the guilty of the charges and sentenced Hussain to life imprisonment. The convict was also fined Rs100,000 as compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased. In case of default, the accused will have to undergo an additional imprisonment of 6 months. The court acquitted the remaining three accused who were also fined in this case after the police declared that the prosecution had failed to prove the charges beyond all reasonable doubt.
