His next cinematic offering, Padmavati, is no different. The Befikre star has managed to take it to another level this time by agreeing to play a bisexual man, reported India Times. He will be essaying the shrewd yet powerful ruler Alauddin Khilji in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.

As per reports, "Ranveer effortlessly plays the bisexual Sultan of Delhi, with a touch of evil genius. Playing his lover on screen is actor, Jim Sarbh who was the bad guy in Raabta and main hijacker in Neerja."
Sources added, "Jim's character is Malik Kafur who, history books say, was Khilji's chief advisor and also his lover."
Bhansali was allegedly fascinated by Khilji and Kafur's love story and so, decided to portray it on the big screen. The sources further stated, "Khilji will be shown as having feelings for Kafur. Bhansali has shot these scenes in such a subtle manner so as to not hurt anybody's sentiments."
